COST OF WAR: 6/20/12

AFGHANISTAN TOTALS — 2009 US servicemen and servicewomen and 1,040 Coalition servicemen and servicewomen have been killed in Afghanistan from the beginning of the war and occupation to June 15. Statistics for Afghan civilian casualties are not available.

American casualties from June 6 to 13:

— Cpl. Anthony R. Servin, 22, Moreno Valley, Calif.

— Pfc. Brandon D. Goodine, 20, Luthersville, Ga.

— Master Chief Petty Officer Richard J. Kessler Jr., 47, Gulfport, Fla.

— Pfc. Nathan T. Davis, 20, Yucaipa, Calif.

— Spc. Bryant J. Luxmore, 25, New Windsor, Ill.

— Cpl. Taylor J. Baune, 21, of Andover, Minn.

— Sgt. 1st Class Barett W. McNabb, 33, Chino Valley, Ariz.
