State Supreme Court Justice has upheld the candidate petitions of Jose Cruz and John Lightfoot, the Democrats who are challenging incumbent State Assembly member David Gantt in a three-way primary.
The validity of the petitions was challenged by Ruth Brooks-Ward.
Ark rejected arguments that some of Cruz’s petitions contained fraud and that Lightfoot hadn’t adequately identified the office he was seeking.
The three candidates will now face off in a September 13 primary.

For a man who entered public life to fight oppression and lack of fairness, Mr. Gantt has become just what he oppossed so may years ago. It is the ultimate in irony.
Green Party candidate Drew Langdon is also running for this seat.
Lightfoot is genuine guy who will strive to uplift the community.
